The anchor of God’s promise
This world is fleeting. This world is hard. This world is disappointing. And this world is broken, fallen from perfection. But how absolutely good is our God to not leave us hopeless, to not leave us without perfect love, and to provide us with His perfect solution to overcoming this world…His son! God sending His son, Jesus, to this earth completely transformed everything. It brought heaven to earth. It brought healing to our brokenness. It brought hope and salvation that we could not provide for ourselves.
But we have to say yes to this. We have to agree with God’s goodness, recognize the lies the enemy has planted for us, and walk towards the fullness that only Jesus can give us. We have to understand the impact of the hope that this all brings us. This hope changes everything! And it breaks my heart to see so many not recognizing this hope, or not holding onto their original revelation of this hope. Not fully grasping what it all means and not allowing it to change their life. Ephesians 1:18-19 says “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe”. And Philippians 1:9 says “And this is my prayer, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ…”
Ladies, today I encourage you to not sit in your salvation. But to ask God for more revelation, to pursue His kingdom with passion and desire for more knowledge. We are to always be growing, moving towards righteousness and never giving up asking for Him to reveal more to us, to fill us with more wisdom & knowledge & discernment. His kingdom and ways are so vast and above our heads, that we must have Him be the one to reveal things to us, to open our eyes and give us revelation and heavenly insights. The insight and revelation into this hope that we have in Jesus has the power to change everything in our life. It can pull us out of depression, sin and grumbling in an instant.
Let’s desire to walk out everyday with this hope. Let’s desire to let go of our past and walk in the new creation that we are in Jesus. Let’s desire the things of God’s kingdom more than the things of this world. And let’s hold on to the hope that we have in God’s promise regardless of the world around us!
